Step 2: Visit the Foundation

  • Stop by during our operational hours to meet the animals in person.

  • Spend time interacting with potential pets to find a good fit.

Step 3: Ask Questions

  • Talk to our staff about the animal's history, behavior, medical status, and any special needs.

  • Discuss your living situation and any preferences with the adoption counselor to ensure a good match.

Step 4: Fill Out the Adoption Application

  • Provide personal details, previous pet ownership information, and references.

  • Ensure you meet all the foundation's criteria, such as age restrictions or housing requirements.

Step 5: Home Check (if applicable)

  • Some animals may require a home visit to ensure a safe and suitable environment.

  • Our representative will visit your home to check for potential hazards or areas of concern.

Step 6: Attend an Adoption Interview

  • Sit with our adoption counselor to discuss your application and answer any further questions.

  • This step helps ensure that adopters are well-prepared and committed.

Step 7: Pay the Adoption Fee

  • The fee covers medical exams, vaccinations, microchipping, spaying/neutering, and other care provided to the animal.

  • Consult our website or ask our staff for the exact fee for the specific animal you're interested in.

Step 8: Sign the Adoption Agreement

  • This document outlines your responsibilities as a pet owner and the foundation's terms and conditions.

  • Read carefully and ensure you're willing to uphold the agreement.

Step 9: Prepare Your Home

  • Before bringing your new pet home, make sure you have all essentials such as food, water bowls, bedding, toys, and a safe space for them.

  • Remove any hazards or potential dangers.

Step 10: Welcome Your New Family Member!

  • Introduce your pet to their new environment slowly and calmly.

  • If you have other pets, introduce them gradually and under supervision.

Step 11: Post-Adoption Support

  • Attend any recommended training or adjustment sessions.

  • Reach out to Furry Friends Foundation with any questions or concerns. We're here to help and support you in your journey with your new pet.
